Happy New Year! Have you noticed the light returning? Yesterday I had to pull my sun visor down after picking the kids up from daycare and there was a very welcome glare at the traffic light heading home on 62.
This light is bringing with it the return of growth in the high tunnels! Last week we had a long enough warm stretch to give all the tunnels a nice afternoon irrigation session, and the results on the next sunny day were spectacular–vibrant green! Just the trick to start pulling me out of my annual January grumpy stretch. We’ll have plenty of spinach at the farm stand this Saturday, plus lettuce, kale, cilantro, scallions, mizuna mix, and Tokyo Bekana. What a line up for January!
Our organic greens will be joined by storage crops from our fields and local farms. Check the full list below. We’d love to see you this Saturday.
